Lime green, or chartreuse, is definitely the hottest color in the garden right now. Some of the selections you can grow or buy at a flower shop include hydrangeas, anthuriums, bells of Ireland (Moluccella laevis), spider mums (Chrysanthemum x grandiflorum), button mums ('Kermit') and hypericum berries. Here's how to create a floral arrangement that'll make your friends green with envy.

- Partially fill the vase with water.
- Cut limes into slices and add them to the vase.
- Strip the foliage from the bottom of each flower stem. Carefully cut the stem at an angle and put it immediately into water. Flower arranging is a creative process, but if you get stuck, it always helps to think in odd numbers. Place your flowers in the vase as desired. The nice thing about monochromatic color is it's really easy to make the arrangement look fabulous. Just play around with it until you get a look that you like.
Candleholder Arrangements
If you want something even simpler, try this. Select a votive candleholder with a wide base. Add some glass bobbles to the holder (available at craft stores). Add a single hydrangea stem in each holder along with a sprig or two of foliage, and you have a simple, lovely group of gorgeous floral color.
