Before: Although this is the entertaining area of the yard, there is very little to keep friends and family out here.

After: Lattice screening provides light control and privacy while a new bar area makes entertaining the large gatherings hosted here much easier.

Before: While the homeowners like this kiwi vine, it's overgrown and not doing anything for this section of their yard, which their son could be using.

Frank and Maria Di Liberto's backyard is fragmented and patched together. As a surprise for years of giving so much to the family, Frank's brother and sister-in-law, John and Patty Dilibert, decide to have the Di Liberto's backyard made over. With the aid of host Susie Coelho and the Outer Spaces team, the backyard is transformed into a unified space with touches of classic Americana. Architect Rick D'Amato helps to clear out the old and bring in the new, including a toy train!

After: Rockers, new floorboards, a handpainted billboard and plants soften the entire area, making it hard to resist relaxing outside.
